Food Ministry

Trinity's pole barn was started with a grant in the amount of $45,000 received from the Wal-Mart Foundation. The building is used to pack & distribute food boxes to those in need on a monthly basis. The truck loaded with food, from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, arrives early morning, every second Saturday of the month.

Once the truck is unloaded, the many volunteers are ready to sort & pack boxes. Sorting and packing begins around 10 am and recipients of the food boxes will pick them up at 5 pm that same day.

We are able to pack enough boxes for 220 families (665 persons), which will average about 20,000 lbs of food.

Take a look at our
photo gallery.

To receive a box of food, recipients will need to sign up at the Chesaning CAER Center during the two weeks prior to the distribution date. Persons receiving a box of food will need to follow a set of guidelines that have been set by the Eastern Food Bank of Flint.

The Food Box Program is funded by: Local Area Churches, Private Individuals & Businesess in the Community.
